To put that figure into perspective, that is similar to all of Russia, Australia, Indonesia & France combined.

It is also more than international flights & shipping put together !!!

The Climate Crisis is upon us.

What many people don’t realise, is that the fashion industry is responsible for around 10% of the problem.

In order for fashion to limit its emissions, we need to drastically change the way we BUY clothes but ultimately, the way we PRODUCE them.

Production of new materials is the main part of the issue.

It’s estimated that around two-thirds of the harmful climate impact over the lifetime of a garment comes at the raw materials stage.

Australia’s fast-fashion industry is booming and has grown 21% in the past five years.!!

How ironic, that we already have so much material !?

We have been buying clothes at unprecedented speeds. Sadly, we are BUYING faster & BINNING faster.

Australia sends way over 500,000 tonnes of textiles to landfill every year. (Even 25% of op-shop clothes end up being tossed.)

SO let's fix two problems at once! 2 birds 1 system.

At the moment we are polluting our skies, our land & futures just to make more of something we already have too much of! Ridiculous.

The most hilarious part of this whole catastrophe is that trends themselves are circular! Styles & Seasons are actually revivals from past eras.

So we already recycle ideas, now we just need to keep the MATERIAL itself circulating.
